Down To Earth Organic Kitchen Review

Updated: Jul 21, 2020

Down to Earth just opened (summer 2017) on Dumbarton Road in Partick in the West End of Glasgow. I went and had a nosey to see what all the fuss was about...

I have to say - the service was excellent. Stephanie who looked after us was knowledgeable, informative, patient, sensitive to our needs, polite and friendly. A definite 10 out of 10.

Food

Good range of food, but it can vary as its organic and therefore seasonal, which is exactly the way it should be. I went for the salad as I wanted something light. This hit the spot.

It was full of kale, lentils, seeds and avocado so a winner for me. Perhaps a little more dressing would have lifted the taste and brought the dish together more. I loved the flower decorations and the fact that I could be experimental and eat flowers!! The food as you can see was exquisitely presented!

I am definitely coming back to try out the breakfasts. I can see this becoming a favourite place for brunch.

Taste: 7/10

Quality: 10/10

Presentation: 10/10

General Impression

Based on Dumbarton Road in Partick not far from Morrisons, it has a welcoming, colourful front and entices the organic food lover like me. I love the rustic approach to the décor and furnishing. I think it suited the organic menu. The menu catered for many tastes and restricted diets, which is great and so often people with restricted diets can feel insecure about venturing to eat out, but there is no need to worry with this place. It is the only registered organic restaurant in Scotland, so good to see Partick leading the way! I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to my clients.
